Tom Ford celebrate Christmas in September 🙂
This year the new Tom Ford Soleil Neige First Frost 2020 Holiday makeup collection was launched in mid-September. Surprisingly the new Holiday makeup collection consists of only one Eye Color Quad in First Frost and one Soleil Neige Balm Frost. I have become a great fan of this Tom Ford collection and particularly of the new First Frost eyeshadow palette.
Even though I was quite enthusiastic about this collection, there were some negative reactions towards the new Tom Ford Soleil Neige 2020 Holiday makeup collection and the overall lukewarm acceptance of this collection was prevailing in the beauty community.
The splendor of the Tom Ford First Frost eyeshadow palette
The new Tom Ford First Frost Eye Color Quad features four elegant and very wearable shades that vary from shimmery to satin finish.
The colors of the Tom Ford First Frost eyeshadow palette are:
Pearly white shade.
A fascinating white pearl color that reflects the light in a beautiful way. It can be used alone or as a topper.

Light pink shade.
The second shade in the Tom Ford First Frost eyeshadow palette can be regarded as the standout color in the palette. It’s a light pink shade with warm undertones. It reflects the light beautifully. Moreover, if you acquire the TF First Frost eyeshadow palette you will enjoy enormously the mystical shift of color when you apply it on your eyes.
Light brown shade.
This is a very interesting color with a little bit of pink undertone. It is ideal for numerous makeup looks and its potential can be fully appreciated when applied on the eyes.
Dark brown bronzy shade.
Even though the TF First Frost eyeshadow palette does not have a matte color, all four shades look lovely on the eyes. There is no chunky glitter but only a very sophisticated sheen. The most shimmery shade is the white pearl color which reminds me of the first snow in winter which is magically reflecting the sun rays. The white pearly color is coruscant but at the same time this color does not contain any irritating glitter. The longevity of the TF First Frost Eye Color Quad eyeshadow palette is impressive and I believe that it is due to the very high quality of the ingredients comprising this TF palette.
The wet and dry formula of Tom Ford which has been applied to the TF First Frost palette further enhances the value of this remarkable palette. Overall, the TF First Frost palette is a great addition to any luxury makeup collection and I think it is a timeless palette.

The controversy about the TF First Frost eyeshadow palette
Some of the Tom Ford fans did not hide their disappointment with the TF Soleil Neige 2020 Holiday makeup collection because the TF First Frost eyeshadow palette looks in their opinion too indistinguishable from the last year’s Soleil d’Hivers Eye Color Quad.

Even though the two palettes are very similar at first glance, I prefer this year’s TF First Frost eyeshadow palette because in my opinion this year Tom Ford have further improved the quality of their Holiday eyeshadow palette. Moreover, the colors of the TF First Frost Eye Color Quad and the TF Soleil d’Hivers Eye Color Quad are different, after all.
The Soleil Neige Frost Lip Balm
The Soleil Neige Frost Lip Balm Balm has a light peachy shade with the tiniest glitters. It looks almost transparent on the lips. The Soleil Neige Frost Lip Balm feels very comfortable and has a very light sugary scent. It comes in a gorgeous gold-mirrored packaging. Last but not least, the TF Frost Lip Balm has a very important purely practical use as a lip protector during the cold winter season.
