Coco Chanel once said, “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous” and that’s exactly how I would describe Chanel’s 2017 Holiday make up collection Libre Numeros Rouges. Once again, the global creative make-up and color director for Chanel, Lucia Pica has shown the world her incredible talent for creating natural, yet glamorous fresh-faced looks combined with statement red lips and bold eye-catching colors on the nails.
No doubt that the stars of this festive make up collection are the four breathtaking red lipsticks presented in a rare limited edition red click case. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this packaging? 🙂 Known for her love for statement lipsticks, Lucia Pica has reinvented the magic of the red lipstick to suit each unique skin tone. Every woman needs at least one red lipstick. Now, Chanel offers four unique tailor-made shades to choose from. There are two classic ROUGE ALLURE shades (N.1 and N.4) and two matte ROUGE ALLURE VELVET lipsticks (N.2 and N.3). My personal favorite is ROUGE ALLURE N.1 which is a classic, incredibly well balanced red lipstick. Number 2 is a matte velvety raspberry red shade; number 3 is a matte brown red shade; and number four is a bright orange red lipstick. These lipsticks feel very comfortable on the lips and they are surprisingly long-lasting. So, what’s your number?
If you are still afraid to wear a bold red lip during the day, there are two unexpectedly fresh shades of ROUGE COCO GLOSS that you might like: 782 True, a luminous bright coral, and 784 Romance, a deep red shade. Both are very sheer and easy to wear.
To complement the eyes, Chanel offers Trait de Caractére, a limited edition eyeshadow palette that features neutral beige and browns and deep green emerald colors; simple yet trendy. The shades have matte to satin finish and are very easy to use and blend. Trait de Caractére is perfect for a natural day look (the shy, sophisticated girl at work) or a more intense and glamorous night look (if you’re willing to be the star of the evening).
Cheeks for Lucia Pica this season are unexpectedly fresh. The blusher in this collection (380 So close) is a bright coral shade that instantly brings life to the complexion. We all tend to get a little washed out during the winter season, but Lucia got it all sorted out for us. Well, Italians are known for being passionate about everything, and I can tell you they are not afraid of blusher. You need the tiniest amount of this gorgeous powder and your face suddenly comes back to life. It’s unbelievable but this blusher really makes your complexion look healthy and young.
